Rebecca Fry's Blog On
I have begun to redesign my cover page spread to match my new topic, and I would say I am rather content with the layout. I took the ideas for my two-page spread I was unable to incorporate into the layout and instead turned them into sell lines. I chose an oil painting for the cover image, and I feel as though it matches will with the already existent color scheme of white and black text with light blue images.

I began to work on the table of contents for the magazine but struggled the most to find images I wanted to use, because I wanted them to have the same color, but with my desire to have a mixing pallet and some paint cans for two of the images, I was working on limited resources. I ended up adding three photos all with different shades of blue, but blue nonetheless so it did not clash on the page.
I’ve changed the program I used to Canva, which has been incredibly helpful due to its easy to navigate format, pre-set formats and designs, and is overall incredibly well formatted. It has sub-sections for images, text boxes, templates and more, and navigating the page is a far less convoluted process.
I have tried using the design application, but it's not like anything I have used before, so I’m not too happy with the layout I have set up. In my opinion the sell lines seem more like that of a gossip magazine then I would desire.
